Naadam Festival

Naadam is one of Mongolia’s most treasured cultural celebrations, bringing communities together through traditional sports, heritage, music, food, and shared pride in Mongolian identity. 

Celebrated for centuries, Naadam showcases the “Three Manly Games” — wrestling, horse racing, and archery — while also creating opportunities for families and friends to gather, reconnect, and celebrate their culture. 

The Calgary Mongolian Community Association (CMCA) is dedicated to organizing a high-quality and memorable Naadam festival in Calgary every year, creating a welcoming and vibrant event that honors Mongolian traditions, strengthens community connections, and introduces the beauty of Mongolian culture to future generations, the wider Canadian community, and the world.

Volunteer

Volunteering with the Calgary Mongolian Community Association (CMCA) is a meaningful way to contribute to the community, build new friendships, develop leadership and organizational skills, and help preserve and promote Mongolian culture in Calgary. 

Through volunteering, individuals gain valuable experience in event planning, teamwork, communication, and community engagement while becoming part of a supportive and active network. CMCA values the time, energy, and ideas of every volunteer and recognizes that strong community organizations are built through collective participation. 

As CMCA continues to grow, the organization is currently developing a structured volunteer recruitment and engagement process to create more opportunities for community members to participate, contribute, and grow together.
