Privacy Policy
CMCA is a non-profit community organization in Calgary, Alberta. We operate cmca.odoo.com. This policy is governed by Alberta PIPA and Canada's PIPEDA.
What we collect
We collect only what is necessary — your name, email, phone (if provided), payment details for donations or membership, photos you submit, and forum posts. We do not collect health information or SIN numbers. For children's programs, we require written parental consent.
How we use it
We use it to run your membership, register you for events, send newsletters you signed up for, process payments, and operate our forum. We never sell your information.
Who we share it with
Who we share it with Only trusted service providers: Odoo Online (Belgium — hosting), Stripe (USA — payments), SendGrid (USA — email), and Google Analytics (USA — anonymous stats). Some data is stored outside Canada. All providers meet Canadian privacy standards.
How long we keep it
Membership records 3 years · Donations 7 years (CRA) · Event records 2 years · Messages 12 months · Forum posts until account closed.
Your rights
Your rights Under Alberta PIPA and PIPEDA you may access, correct, delete, or withdraw consent for your information at any time. Email info@cmca.ca — we respond within 30 days.
Data breaches
If a breach puts you at risk, we will notify you and the Privacy Commissioner as soon as possible.
Cookies
We use essential cookies (login, language), anonymous analytics (Google — opt out via browser settings), and payment cookies (Stripe). A consent banner appears on your first visit.
