About Us

Blue Sky Mongolian School of Calgary is a community school for Mongolian-Canadian families and anyone who wants to learn the Mongolian language or explore Mongolian culture.

We are opening our doors in September 2026. Our school is a place where children grow up proud of who they are — where they can speak Mongolian, learn their history, and stay connected to their roots while building a strong future in Canada.

We help Mongolian children and youth in Calgary maintain their language, understand their culture, and feel confident in their identity as Mongolian Canadians.

We also welcome anyone who is curious about Mongolia — its language, history, art, and traditions.

  • Your language is part of who you are. Speaking Mongolian keeps you connected to your family and your heritage.

  • Children thrive when they are proud of their identity. We help students feel good about being Mongolian Canadian.

  • Family and community are stronger together. We support parents, children, and youth as a whole family.

  • Learning is for everyone. Our programs welcome children as young as 4, youth, and adults.

  • Teach children to speak, read, and write in Mongolian.
  • Share Mongolian history, traditions, and cultural arts.
  • Help students feel proud of their Mongolian identity.
  • Encourage children to use Mongolian at home with parents and grandparents.
  • Build bridges between generations — so grandparents and grandchildren can talk to each other.
  • Support healthy relationships between parents and children through shared learning.

Our team aim to include experienced teachers, trained counsellors, enthusiastic volunteers, and a dedicated management team. Everyone on our team is passionate about Mongolian culture and the well-being of our community.

We plan to work with students from toddlers to young adults, and we would like to involve families every step of the way. We understand the challenges that Mongolian-Canadian families face — language gaps, cultural differences, and the distance from homeland. We are here to help bridge those gaps.

  • Prepare for college and university education in Canada.

  • Learn about mental health, self-awareness, and personal strengths.

This program is run in collaboration with the Calgary Mongolian Youth Association. Together, we give young people the tools they need to succeed — as Canadians and as Mongolians

Parent and Family Network Program

The program designed to provide a supportive platform for parents to connect, share experiences, and learn effective ways to support their children's growth and self-confidence.

Being a parent in a new country is not easy. Navigating the Canadian education system, understanding cultural expectations, and supporting your child across two cultures can feel overwhelming.

Our Parent and Family Network Program is here to help. This program gives parents a safe and welcoming space to:

  • Connect with other Mongolian-Canadian parents.

  • Share experiences and practical advice.

  • Learn effective ways to support your child's confidence and well-being.

  • Understand the Canadian education system and social expectations.

  • Strengthen the relationship between you and your child.

We align parent programming with youth programming, so families are learning and growing together. Through workshops, group discussions, and community events, parents gain new skills and deeper understanding.

Enrichment Programs

We will offer exciting enrichment programs to support the cognitive, creative, and emotional development of children and adults in our community. These programs are open to everyone — not just language students. These programs will be running as a collaboration project with other section of Calgary Mongolian Community Association such as Youth group, Music and Dance and General Groups. Find out more about these programs please visit their designated pages.
